Our popular "Waveriding Extravaganza" art design is now available on premium 'EarthAware™ Bag for Life' tote bags. The design is hand screen printed in Cornwall on to 100% organic cotton, heavy duty fabric bags.

The reusable bag measures 38cm wide and 42 cm in length with a volume of 10 litres. The handles are 67 cm long and sit comfortably on your shoulder or held in your hand.

We have carefully sourced these robust bags for their quality and durability, ideal for cutting down your use of plastic bags and carrying your shopping, your books or your beach gear! For comparison our bags have a fabric weight of 340gsm or 10oz/yd², the standard thin tote bag you might normally come across is usually only 100gsm in weight. These bags are also Control Union certified, Control Union being an organisation working with industry to create sustainability in supply chains: https://certifications.controlunion.com/en

The design was originally inspired by simple screen print techniques to design this block colour image. It recalls the simple and bold vintage surf prints of the 1960s and early 1970s. The nature of the artwork means that it would make an ideal gift for a surfer, but would also be perfect for anyone who is a fan of retro style. This design can also be found on our fine art prints and enamel mugs, navigate back to our shop and use the categories on the left hand side to take a look at these.

Please note that the bags are made from natural cotton and some slight differences in colour, weave and size may occur. The designs are hand screen printed individually and so some minor variation in print consistency may occur between each finished product.

Washing & care - Spot clean with mild soap and water.

Packaging - The tote bags come folded with a card tag, packed in a recycled postage bag.

Postage - We offer various postage options through Royal Mail with options for speed of service e.g. standard 1st class post or next day delivery by 1pm - in case you're in a hurry! There is no extra postage charge when ordering multiple items.

Framing tips

Open tab

Whilst we don't offer a framing service we can give some good tips when it comes to framing your new prints:

Buying from the high street

In the UK "A" paper sizes are a standard size, see our dropdown on paper sizes for the exact dimensions. You should be able to find standard frames on the high street for A paper sizes, although you may be restricted to simple white or black frames and they may not be the best quality / designed to last long-term.

Supporting local framers

We would always recommend talking to a local framer and supporting a local small business. The framers we know are professionals who can advise on how thick you might want your frame, whether you need a mount (or matt in the US) and how thick this should be to complement the print and frame. The mount and frame can be customised in terms of colours too and of course you could go with a natural wood colour of which there are lots of options. If you've seen something you like, for example a frame on one of our web pages, why not screenshot the image and send to your framer to replicate.

We recommend The Banana Shed Framing Company in Penryn, Cornwall and The Frame Shop in Braunton, North Devon if you're lucky enough to live local to either of these two areas.

Lastly...

Think about the size of the space you wish to fill. If it's a large space and you've bought a smaller print you can fill more space with a wide mount and a chunky frame. If it's a small space, no mount and a thin frame may suit you better.

It's also worth noting all our prints include a small white border with the design inset inside this, so you can choose not to include a mount as the print will look good in a frame without a mount. We personally think a mount adds a bit more style though.

If you have bought a frame and the print needs trimming down slightly to fit in, make sure you measure very carefully, draw on guides of where to cut with a pencil and take it slow. You can't add paper back on if you cut too much off!
